As we come to the end of the semester and look ahead to spring, I want to remind you that tuition reimbursement funds for all employees still are available for this fiscal year.<\/p>\n
Here are the guidelines:<\/p>\n
* Available to ALL employees.
\n* Reimbursement is available for coursework taken for credit at any nationally or regionally accredited college.
\n* Coursework does not have to be job-related.
\n* You do not have to be matriculated into a program to be eligible.
\n* Reimbursement is for tuition only (no fees), based on 50% of the current SUNY in-state tuition rate for up to 6 credits per semester.
\n* Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n
For Fall 2016, Spring 2017 and Summer 2017 (if funds are still available), the reimbursement rate per semester is:<\/p>\n
$89.50 per credit\/$537 maximum (6 credits) — Associate degrees and credit-bearing certificates taken at a college other than Hudson Valley Community College*<\/p>\n
$135.00 per credit\/$810 maximum (6 credits) — Bachelor’s degrees<\/p>\n
$226.50 per credit\/$1,359 maximum (6 credits) —\u00a0 Master’s degrees and PhDs<\/p>\n
$300 per credit\/$1,800 maximum (6 credits) —\u00a0 MBA program<\/p>\n
$270 per credit\/$1,620 maximum (6 credits) — MSW program<\/p>\n
Here’s the procedure for reimbursement<\/strong>: *Please note<\/strong> that this does not apply to courses taken at Hudson Valley. For information on how to take courses here, please contact Human Resources or consult your bargaining unit agreement.<\/p>\n
\n1. Register and pay for the course(s)
\n2. Send copies of the registration (a schedule is fine) and payment receipt to me, either by email at s.kalkbrenner@hvcc.edu<\/a> or by mail\/inter-office mail (Guenther 164). There are no forms to fill out.
\n3. You will be contacted by Accounts Payable when your check is ready.
\n4. You can send me the documentation at any time. I will notify the campus community when the funds are depleted for the year.<\/p>\n
