Degree Program \u2013 submitted by Rich Porter<br \/>\nProposal requests the deactivation of this program due to low enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>4.2 Change in Degree Requirements for Automotive Technical Services \u2013 Chrysler A.O.S. Degree Program \u2013 submitted by Anthony Kossmann<br \/>\nRemove the following courses: AUCP 120 Automotive Electrical Systems &amp; Components, AUCP 220 Integral Frame and Suspension Components, AUTO 160 Industrial Relations, and ENGL 110 Technical Communications.\u00a0 Add the following courses: AUTO 125 Automotive Electricity, AUTO 145 Passenger Car Chassis I, AUTO 235 Automotive Electronics, AUTO 245 Passenger Car Chassis II, and ENGL 101 English Composition I.\u00a0 These changes are being proposed to accomplish a more effective use of course offerings.<\/p>\n<p>4.3 Change in Degree Requirements for Automotive Management A.A.S. Degree Program \u2013 submitted by Anthony Kossmann<br \/>\nRemove the following courses: AUCP 120 Automotive Electrical Systems &amp; Components, AUCP 220 Integral Frame and Suspension Components, AUTO 160 Industrial Relations.\u00a0 Add the following courses: AUTO 125 Automotive Electricity, AUTO 145 Passenger Car Chassis I, AUTO 235 Automotive Electronics, AUTO 245 Passenger Car Chassis II.\u00a0\u00a0 These changes are being proposed to accomplish a more effective use of course offerings.<\/p>\n<p>4.4 EMSP 230 Internship for the Paramedic &#8211; change in contact hours, credit hours, title, course description, prerequisite and prerequisite or corequisite \u2013 submitted by Deborah Kufs<br \/>\nEMSP 230 was originally designed to provide an opportunity for students to perform skills and assessments in the real life setting of the field environment.\u00a0 Assessment of student learning and competency in the internship was dependent upon a cadre of preceptors assigned by the hoisting agencies.\u00a0 Modern manikins, computerized simulations and the availability of simulation labs with programmed patients duplicate the field environment.\u00a0 The faculty believes the proposed changes will offer greater control over the course; allow for timely remediation; and best prepare students for state and national certification.<\/p>\n<p>4.5 EMSP 240 Internship, Final Evaluation Phase \u2013 25% or more change in course content, change in course description and prerequisite \u2013 submitted by Deborah Kufs.<br \/>\nChange in completion requirements from successful leadership of forty combined advanced and basic ambulance calls to successful leadership of seventeen of the last twenty advanced EMS responses plus successful completion of an oral board exam in front of the Medical director or designee.\u00a0 Leadership in basic calls will have been assessed during EMSP 230 in simulation.<\/p>\n<p>4.6 Change in Degree Requirements and total credits required for the Emergency Medical Technician \u2013 Paramedic Certificate \u2013 submitted by Deborah Kufs<br \/>\nThis proposal sees to increase the grade requirements to a C or better for BIOL 130 Concepts in Anatomy and Physiology and increase the total credits required from 41 to 43 with the increase in credits in required course EMSP 230 from two to four credits.<\/p>\n<p>4.7 Change in Degree Requirements and total credits for the Emergency Medical Technician \u2013 Paramedic A.A. S. Degree Program \u2013 submitted by Deborah Kufs.<br \/>\nThis proposal sees to increase the grade requirements to a C or better for BIOL 130 Concepts in Anatomy and Physiology and increase the total credits required from 68 to 70 with the increase in credits in required course EMSP 230 from two to four credits.<\/p>\n<p>4.8 MATH 099 Elementary Algebra I \u2013 change in course description \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal requests a revision of course description to make it more accurately reflect the course content.<\/p>\n<p>4.9 MATH 160 Precalculus \u2013 change in course description \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutyrb.<br \/>\nProposal requests a revision of course description to make it more accurately reflect the course content.<\/p>\n<p>4.10 MATH 200 Linear Algebra &#8211; change in prerequisite and prerequisite or corequisite\u00a0 &#8211; submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal requests to remove the current prerequisite of MATH 190 Calculus II and add a prerequisite or corequisite of MATH 180 Calculus I.<\/p>\n<p>4.11 MATH 210 Calculus III \u2013 change in course description \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal requests a revision of course description to make it more accurately reflect the course content.<\/p>\n<p>4.12 ENGR 233 Thermal Fluid Science \u2013 change in prerequisite or corequisite \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal requests the addition of ENGR 210 Engineering Statics and Strengths of Materials as a prerequisite or corequisite.\u00a0 With the addition of Fluid Mechanics to ENGR 233, a basic knowledge of force interaction, which is covered in ENGR 210, is necessary for presentation of theory and problem solutions.<\/p>\n<p>4.13 ENGR 225 Electric Circuits \u2013 change in course description \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal requests a revision of course description to make it more accurately reflect the course content.<\/p>\n<p>4.14 Change in program entrance requirements and degree requirements for the Liberal Arts and Science \u2013 Mathematics and Science A.S. Degree Program \u2013 submitted by Susan Kutryb.<br \/>\nProposal request clarification of program entrance requirements for students with college transcripts; Mathematics core currently 20 credits proposed 1 credits; Science core currently 8 credits proposed 12 credits; remove the 4 credit science core restricted elective; mathematics\/science restricted elective currently 6 credits proposed; total credits currently 60 -63 credits, proposed 60 -64 credits.
