{"id":9573,"date":"2017-06-29T12:15:43","date_gmt":"2017-06-29T16:15:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/presidents-june-report-to-the-board-of-trustees\/"},"modified":"2017-06-29T12:15:43","modified_gmt":"2017-06-29T16:15:43","slug":"presidents-june-report-to-the-board-of-trustees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/presidents-june-report-to-the-board-of-trustees\/","title":{"rendered":"President&#8217;s June report to the Board of Trustees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The college\u2019s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, June 27, and I\u2019m pleased to share my <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Presidents-Report-June-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a> with faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>A major highlight of the report concerns Middle States:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I am pleased to report that on June 22, the Middle States Commission voted to accept the monitoring report and that no further action is needed. Congratulations to Michael Green and his team for closing the loop. The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2023-2024.<\/p>\n<p>The report also provides updates on both summer and fall enrollment, and the accompanying <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Presidents-Report-Materials-June-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">materials<\/a> includes the Foundation&#8217;s year-end report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminder<\/strong>: The Capital District Educational Opportunity Center&#8217;s graduation ceremony is Thursday, June 29 in the McDonough Sports Complex at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Trustees meets next on Tuesday, Aug. 29. The regular board meeting follows the committee meetings that begin at 4:30 p.m. in GUN 148.
