{"id":9616,"date":"2017-07-17T19:39:31","date_gmt":"2017-07-17T23:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/blackboard-upgrade-on-tuesday-aug-15\/"},"modified":"2017-07-17T19:39:31","modified_gmt":"2017-07-17T23:39:31","slug":"blackboard-upgrade-on-tuesday-aug-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/blackboard-upgrade-on-tuesday-aug-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackboard upgrade on Tuesday, Aug. 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Campus Community,<\/p>\n<p>Blackboard will be upgraded starting on Tuesday, Aug. 15. <strong>There will be no downtime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Distance Learning staff has tested the upgraded version and have verified the following issues have been fixed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Display Dates Cannot be Manually Entered for Content Items<\/li>\n<li>Discussion Boards &#8212; Subscribing to Forums does not work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since the Course name change was a sporadic issue, we are not sure yet if that has been fixed. During the export\/import process, sometimes the course name is changed to the name in the export package. For example, if you export and import a Spring_2017 course, you may see the new Fall_2017 course shell changed to Spring_2017, so you will see 2 Spring_2017 courses in your course list.
