Faculty will no longer receive a colored copy of the form. All forms are white with an electronic signature of a CAAT staff member.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*\u00a0Extended Hours:<\/strong> Beginning\u00a0Tuesday, Sept. 5, The Center for Access and Assistive Technology will have extended hours during the academic semester.\u00a0 These extended hours will allow students, faculty and staff to utilize our adaptive computer lab, receive training on the assistive technology, testing accommodations and provide evening students and faculty access to the Center for Access and Assistive Technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*\u00a0CAAT Publications:<\/strong>\u00a0 The following brochures are available: Center for Access and Assistive Technology, Deaf and Hard of Hearing,\u00a0High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Policies &amp; Guidelines for Alternative Testing Services and Faculty Guidelines. Please contact\u00a0the Center for Access and Assistive Technology\u00a0at (518) 629-7154 and\u00a0we will mail\u00a0them to you.\u00a0\u00a0These publications provide helpful information for college faculty and staff, to ensure access to college programs and activities for individuals with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>* Please note that the Learning Disabilities office and the CAAT office have merged. All disability services are now located in the CAAT. Donna Totaro is the assistant director\/LD specialist and she would be happy to assist you with any questions you have regarding learning disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*\u00a0Handicapped Parking:<\/strong>\u00a0 There are currently 105 handicapped spaces throughout the campus. Please see the locations below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A-lot located on the left of Holliday Drive has eight spaces<\/li>\n<li>B-lots located on North Drive have 14 spaces throughout the entire lot<\/li>\n<li>C-lot located near the Student Pavilion\/Hudson Hall has 14 spaces<\/li>\n<li>E-lot located on South Drive has nine spaces to access the Joe Bruno Stadium<\/li>\n<li>G-lot located on upper South Drive has nine additional spaces for access to the Joe Bruno Stadium<\/li>\n<li>H-lot located on the south side of Williams Road as four spaces<\/li>\n<li>J-lot located near Williams Road has four spaces for access to Cogan Hall and the Daycare Center; there is also\u00a0 one additional space near the side entrance to the Daycare Center.<\/li>\n<li>N-lot located behind the Campus Center has 10 spaces<\/li>\n<li>Visitors&#8217; Lot on Holliday Drive has four spaces<\/li>\n<li>Parking Garage has 16 spaces<\/li>\n<li>North side of the Conway Ice Rink has three spaces<\/li>\n<li>The fire lane has 15 spaces for access to Lang, Brahan and the Science Bldg.<\/li>\n<li>LaPan Hall has two spaces<\/li>\n<li>Cogan Hall has one space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*\u00a0Scooters:\u00a0<\/strong> The Center for Access and Assistive Technology has seven electric scooters available on loan for students, staff and faculty use, based on individual needs and documented disabilities. Scooters are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>* Emergency Evacuation Chairs<\/strong> have been strategically placed throughout the entire campus buildings in the event of an emergency situation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Distance Learning\/Blackboard:<\/strong> Please contact the Distance Learning Department in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC), room 1042 or phone (518) 629-7070, if you have any questions regarding adjustment of settings within Blackboard to provide accommodations. The CAAT and the Distance Learning Department work collaboratively to support both faculty and student needs with reasonable accommodations.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions on how we can continue to enhance the services and learning environment for students with disabilities, please do not hesitate to contact us.\u00a0\u00a0 If you have any questions or concerns regarding testing policies, special scheduling or about accommodating a student in your class or lab, please call us at 629-7154 or TDD 629-7596.
