Volunteers are welcome to assist with the holiday wreath removal at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Saturday, March 7. Well over 10,000 wreaths were placed in December 2019.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. and normally takes 1 to 2 hours to complete, depending on how many volunteers take part. The cemetery is located at 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville. Volunteers are advised to bring a rake or broom in order to pick up and carry a good number wreaths as you “walk the line.”
The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) local chapter will set up a tent and distribute coffee and hot chocolate for the volunteers.
