On Wednesday, 115 students took advantage of extended writing services as part of the Learning Centers’ Write All Night program. The program would not have been possible without the combined efforts of many individuals. To those that helped make the program a success, please know how much your efforts are appreciated.
A special thanks goes out to the following people:
Carol Hammond, Cathy Wronski, Jim Dickson, Jason Paiko, Hannah Bewster, Josh Sperber, Jessica Brouker and Tyan Nino for working well into the night to support the students that took advantage of the Write All Night program;
Jim LaBate for writing the extraordinarily creative Chronicle articles advertising the event;
Tasha Taylor for taking care of getting all the signing made so that students knew about the event well in advance;
Katrina Martin, David Deyo and Nafees Noor, the Work Study students who posted all the signs;
George Weinish and the rest of the Computer Services Department for ensuring the nightly system updates did not interfere with students’ computer use;
The Public Safety staff for supporting the extended hours of the program by securing the Marvin building later than usual;
The Chartwells Dining staff for supplying the snacks students enjoyed throughout the evening;
The Maintenance staff that patiently worked around students and staff;
Ben Max and Rich Sarnacki from the Hudsonian who took part in the program and wrote terrific articles about Write All Night;
Coach Mike Muehling who stayed for the duration of the program to lend moral support to the many student-athletes that took part in the program;
The wonderful Hudson Valley faculty members that shared information about the event with their students.
Finally, to the students that chose to take advantage of the program, many of whom believe it made a difference in the way they worked on writing assignments.
Thank you, all!
Over 100 students wrote all night!
