All faculty and staff are welcome to attend the 34th annual Faculty/Staff Honors Convocation at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3 in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre to witness the presentation of the 2018 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence and 2018 President’s Awards. Emeritus faculty, faculty promotions, faculty, staff and EOC merit awards, sabbatical leaves and certificates earned through the Center for Effective Teaching also will be recognized.
Faculty and staff planning to march in the academic procession should come to the Siek Campus Center, room 294 by 4 p.m. in academic regalia to line up for the academic procession.
The unveiling of the Chancellor’s Award plaques and a reception follow the ceremony in the lobby of the Guenther Enrollment Services Center.
The 2018 Chancellor’s Award recipients are:
- Adjunct Teaching: Richard E. Jackson, Jr., Adjunct Professor, Mathematics and Engineering Science
- Classified Service: Debra A. Larkin, Principal Account Clerk, Community and Professional Education
- Faculty Service: Katie M. Pawloski, Assistant Professor
- Faculty Service: Anthony L. Podlaski, Assistant Professor, English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language
- Professional Service: DeAnne Martocci, Director, Center for Access and Assistive Technologies
- Teaching: Rosanne M. Raneri, Associate Professor, Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media
In addition, two staff members will receive the 2018 President’s Award for Excellence in College Service and one faculty member will receive the 2018 President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. They are:
- College Service: Suzanne L. Glaude, Web Site Specialist, Information Technology Services and
- College Service: Jennifer M. Moss, Principal Account Clerk, Cashier’s Office
- Teaching: Daniel J. Capuano, Assistant Professor, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
