All faculty and staff are welcome to attend the Faculty/Staff Honors Convocation at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 in the BTC Auditorium to witness the presentation of the 2023 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence. Emeritus faculty, faculty promotions, merit awards, sabbatical leave and certificates earned through the Center for Professional Excellence will also be recognized.
NOTE: A livestream of the event is also available for those unable to attend in-person.
Faculty and staff planning to march in the academic procession should assemble in the BTC clock area by 4:15 p.m. in academic regalia to line up.
The unveiling of the Chancellor’s Award plaques and a reception will follow the ceremony in the BTC Meeting Rooms.
The 2023 recipients of the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are:
- Classified Service: Mark A. Flavin, Campus Security and Access Officer, Public Safety and Security
- Faculty Service: Colleen M. Ferris, Associate Professor and Department Chair, Health, Physical Education and Exercise Studies
- Professional Service: Dennis J. Kennedy, Executive Director of Communications and Marketing
- Teaching: Gabriele Reihs-Hamm, Assistant Professor, Dental Hygiene
