Just a reminder as outlined in the Campus Chronicle on Feb. 21, 2022.

  • All HVCC students, faculty, and staff should be using the Zoom Desktop Client (pcs or laptops) or the Zoom Mobile App (mobile devices). The Desktop Client and Mobile App can be downloaded from zoom.us/download.
  • If you are using an office desktop computer on campus, or a HVCC issued device (laptop or tablet) the Zoom Desktop Application is already installed.
  • Additional ways to download the Zoom Desktop Client and Zoom Mobile App are listed in the following Campus Chronicle article dated August 30, 2022. https://chronicle.hvcc.edu/wpdev/zoom-tips-for-success/
  • All HVCC students, faculty, and staff should be using their HVCC Zoom accounts and SSO option (sign into Zoom using SSO option with HVCC login credentials — same as HVCC email), not personal Zoom accounts. https://chronicle.hvcc.edu/wpdev/zoom-tips-for-success/
  • Whenever possible and you know only HVCC students, staff, or faculty will be participants for your Zoom meeting (no outside account users – i.e. does not have HVCC login credentials), it is recommended that you use the “Only authenticated meeting participants can join meetings” feature in your Zoom meeting settings. Instructions for using “Only authenticated meeting participants can join meetings” can be found at the link below under “How to require authentication to join a meeting or webinar.”
