EOC Welcomes New Associate Director

Michele Chavers of Albany, joined the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center staff in June as the Associate Director and Coordinator for Administrative & Business Services. Michele assumed the position previously held by Sherri Mackey.

Michele holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the College of St. Rose and an MBA in management and finance from Sage Graduate School. Her employment history includes positions as a fiscal analyst and assistant to the Deputy Comptroller for the City of Albany, a financial project manager for the New York State Credit Union League, a financial analyst for Capital Communications Federal Credit Union, a project manager for the Ayco Company, L.P., and numerous years in the banking field.

Michele’s professional experiences provide her with a diverse set of skills that range from non-profit to government accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, and business management. She is an energetic and experienced professional who will bring her own unique style to the EOC and the center’s business services department.
