SCRUFF stands for “Spaying the Capital Region Unowned Feral Felines.- It is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to humanely reduce the unchecked population of unowned and feral cats in the Capital Region through the non-lethal method of trap-neuter-return. An all-volunteer organization, SCRUFF sponsors spay/neuter days and has spay/neutered over 1,500 cats since January 2007.
SCRUFF is holding a Fall Fun Cocktail Party to benefit the organization at the Schuyler Meadows Club at 17 Schuyler Meadows Road in Loudonville. This event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. It will feature the music of the Bent Rail Blues Band, a silent auction, light fare, cash bar and the Bumble Beads Boutique.
If you are interested in attending the Fall Fun Cocktail Party, please RSVP by Oct. 8, 2010. Tickets are $55 per person in advance and $65 per person at the door. If you are not able to attend, donations of any amount are welcome.
