Advising Transfer “Out” Students
The student who intends to transfer from Hudson Valley to another institution should have an educational plan from day one. He/she should have a good idea of personal strengths and weaknesses, a career goal consistent with interests, skills and the job market, and information about four-year (and perhaps post-graduate) programs and institutions. This course will provide advising techniques and materials to evaluate students- preparation for transfer, familiarize advisors with campus resources related to transfer opportunities and the transfer process, and teach students to monitor their transferability status (1.5 hours).

Using Adobe Dreamweaver, this workshop will cover how to make your course schedule into a Web page that students can bookmark! Participants will learn how Web pages are structured and built in order to make Web pages for presenting course materials such as: course schedules, resources and assignments. The Web pages can be embedded directly into Blackboard or used on their own.

Interlibrary Loan for the 21st Century
ILL has changed a great deal in the last five years and we would like to demonstrate how things are now done. ILL will make doing your research much easier. There are hundreds of happy customers on this campus. If you are taking any college or graduate classes or are an administrator, then this workshop is for you. Learn to create your own ILL account, search for research items, submit a request for a book or article, renew your items, and more.
