Teaching Conference

 

The SUNY Center for Professional Development and the teaching learning centers of Broome, Corning, Onondaga and Tompkins Cortland Community Colleges, and the Institute for Community College Development (ICCD) invite you to the 17th Annual Upstate Successful Teaching Conference – “For Faculty, By Faculty.”

The conference offers ideas, inspiration and networking galore! Community college faculty share their expertise and offer innovative teaching techniques in small groups. Themes of active learning, student learning assessment and integrating technology are explored.

The keynote presentation, “Building on the Basics: Research-Based Skills and Strategies for Effective Teachers,” will be delivered by David J. Perry and Dr. Jean T. Anastasio, APL Associates, Camillus, NY.

This full-day conference also will include your choice of three workshops from among 15 offered, plus “GIFTS” of mini-presentations, handouts, prize drawings and networking opportunities.
